Ballet

Whether you are a budding ballerina or just want to do Ballet recreationally for it's many benefits, Ballet is a great class for anyone. It is often said that Ballet is the foundation of all dance and we strongly recommend everyone does a Ballet class for technique and strength.

We have classes for ages 3 and up - and for those wanting to take it to the next level, we offer exams with the Royal Academy of Dancing. (R.A.D.)

Acrobatics

Acrobatics is a great way to develop strength, co-ordination, flexibility and control.

Learn things such as forward and backward rolls, handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, handsprings, aerial cartwheels and backflips. We also work with partners and groups doing balances and other tricks!

We follow the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus at our Studio.

Hip -hop

Hip hop dance is a style of street dance form that evolved from hip hop culture and hip hop music. It borrows elements from a number of different styles like African dance, tap, and ballet. Hip hop dance began as a freestyle dance performed in the streets by dance crews, mostly to hip hop music.

Jazz

Jazz is a great way to have fun and build the foundations of dance technique at the same time. Jazz dance is fast and fun. It uses upbeat music and leaps and turns to interpret traditional and not-so-traditional movements.

Tap

The rhythm and movement of tap, created by the metal taps on the heels and toes of a dancer’s shoes, transforms the dancer into a percussive musician. Tap dance emphasizes the flow of movement by teaching the dancer to find rhythms and beats not only in music but in their own bodies.

We offer Comdance syllabus Tap Exams at our Studio.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. We require a Ballet class to be taken as a pre-requisite to ensure correct technique.

My little babe adores her classes here. It’s the perfect mix of caring and discipline. Highly recommend!!
